FORTIX Semi-Solid-State Power Banks Launch in Australia

Melbourne, Australia – JOURNEY's first-ever power banks to feature semi-solid-state battery technology are now on sale.

The FORTIX Series features modern battery technology that reduces safety risks associated with conventional lithium-ion batteries.

FORTIX, which includes the FORTIX Semi-Solid-State Magnetic Power Bank 5,000mAh and 10,000mAh, is designed to deliver portable power for busy smartphone users when wall outlets are unavailable.

Semi-solid-state battery technology mitigates numerous risks of overheating, fire, and battery damage associated with traditional lithium-ion batteries.

A JOURNEY spokesperson said the shift reflects growing demand for safer portable power as airlines crack down on battery capacity and carry during air travel, and as consumer awareness of battery safety increases.

"Battery technology is advancing," the spokesperson added.

"This allows us to develop power banks capable of faster charging, longer lifespans, and improved safety."

Both FORTIX models support wireless charging (up to 15W) and wired USB-C output (up to 20W).

MagSafe-compatible power banks attach magnetically to the back of a smartphone, allowing users to continue using their phones while they charge. The slim-design models attach flush against the back of the phone.

They are available in a range of expressive colours and finished in machined aluminium that adds further protection against bumps.

The 5K FORTIX model delivers a full charge to most smartphones, while the 10K version charges most smartphones from empty to full at least once.

The carry-on-permitted power banks are not allowed in checked luggage or for in-flight use, but are useful during extended air travel.

Phone users with low battery levels benefit during long flights and multi-leg journeys.

They can charge their phone while transacting at airport retail outlets, checking flight details or maps on their phone apps, or waiting at boarding gates, without worrying about power outlet access.

More generally, FORTIX models equip on-the-go phone users with dependable backup power for commutes, extended travel, and on-the-go work, family, and study routines.
